Writing effective scenes is the key to writing excellent screenplays.

When I started out I was a reader of scripts with the task of recommending which

scripts should be reviewed by the producers.

 

Scenes should propel the script forward.  We call it " CAUSALITY". One scene should cause the next one to happen, instead of "EPISODIC" writing, where one scene happens and then the next one and then the next one, where there is no relationship between what happens In the scenes.
